Cindi is a co-founder and long-standing contributor to the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) having devoted her career to oncology nursing from day one. She played a key role in the development of ONS’s Oncology Nurse Navigation Delineation Study and the 2017 Oncology Nurse Navigator Core Competencies. Cindi has been the recipient of numerous awards including the Biden Cancer Initiative FIERCE award, ONS Lifetime Achievement Award and Distinguished Service Award in 2010. She received the CURE Magazine Extraordinary Healer award for the Equine therapy program she established for women going through breast cancer. Cindi is also a widely published author, editor, and speaker. Cindi retired from Sutter Health where she served as Director of Patient Support Services, oncology nurse navigator, and Breast Program Coordinator. She is the CEO of Cantril Recovery Services and leads resiliency retreats for oncology professionals. Cindi remains and will always be a fierce patient advocate!
